GS Yuasa International Ltd. (President: Osamu Murao, Principal Office: Minami-ku, Kyoto), which is a subsidiary of GS Yuasa Corporation, entered into a basic agreement with Panasonic Corporation (President: Kazuhiro Tsuga, Principal Office: Kadoma-shi, Osaka) on GS Yuasa’s acceptance of Panasonic’s transfer of its lead-acid battery business to GS Yuasa.

GS Yuasa International Ltd. also has purchased 50% of the issued outstanding shares in İnci Akü Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi in the Republic of Turkey. The acquired company has become one of our equity method affiliates and commenced its business under the renewed system, with its company name changed to İnci GS Yuasa Akü Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi.
